MMCAP is seeking an Attorney for the Legal and Compliance unit to provide MMCAP leadership, staff, and membership with expert-level legal guidance and expertise through the drafting of contracts, requests for proposals, notices, and analyses that permit MMCAP to maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements while developing and sustaining positive working relationships with purchasing officials, pharmacists, auditors, contracting experts, and others who comprise and represent MMCAP's membership of over 34,000 participating facilities.

This position acts as a subject matter expert in the overall laws, rules, and policies that relate to and support programmatic goals held by all business areas that comprise MMCAP.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•  Assisting in developing policies and protocols to ensure the smooth, effective, and legal operation of MMCAP.

•  Providing legal review, technical assistance, and input to the MMCAP lines of businesses such as pharmaceuticals, wholesaler purchasing, and other healthcare products and services so that their respective business objectives are achieved in a legal and timely manner.

•  Providing legal and technical assistance to MMCAP leadership, staff, and external attorneys on significant issues affecting its business so that it may take appropriate action, if needed.

•  Providing legal advice in the development and evaluation of MMCAP policies and procedures for compliance with applicable laws.
